This picture was taken while waiting for a ferry from Murano to Punta Sabbioni on the Lido de Jesolo. A hot and sunny day obviously. The ladies are sat under an awning enjoying a cooling ice cream while I was under an umbrella sipping a diet Coke.

These ladies are no strangers to the Icecream parlour. One is showing us her expertise at getting the maximum lick coverage on her cornetto while the other is inspecting hers to target her next strike. It didn't take long from start to finish so I had to work quickly.

This candid shot was quite easy to take. I focussed on the wall to the side of the ladies, pretending to take a picture of one of my two sons. At the right moment, viewing with my left eye, I reframed to cover the shop window and took the picture.

This image depicts what every holiday maker does after a long afternoon's sightseeing; but it also has a slight comical nature in that I am using the size of the ladies to emphasise what might happen if you have too many icecreams. Their expressions also add to the context of the image.
