City and Guilds 9231 Photography

Over the 2000/1 and 2001/2 academic years I attended Eastleigh College for the C&G 9231 course in Photography. I now hold certificates for six completed modules, all at distinction level. This has enabled me to apply for Licentiateship of the RPS via an exemption route. To get the credit for part two of the City & Guilds course I need to take one more module.

PART 1

This consisted of one compulsory and one "optional" module. Both modules were taught in 30 hours each over two terms, with an equal amount of time supposed to be spent on private study/practical work. A pass at any grade for the two modules will achieve the part one certificate.

PART 2

Part 2 students must hold a Part 1 Certificate. Successful completion of Part 2 requires a pass at any grade in any five of the 16 modules available. Higher levels of attainment permit an application for the Licenciateship of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS). Each module is taught during one academic term.
